About Forest Future

A Belgian non-profit devoted to climate, forests and the environment.

What we are

Forest Future ASBL is a Belgian non-profit association, founded in 2024. We are a partner, an advisor and a coordinator: we help forest programmes become ready, credible and well-coordinated, and we help raise the funds that careful work requires. We do not own or run the programmes we support; we help them be done well.

Our approach

We help close the gap that most forest work falls into - unclear rights, unconfirmed mandates, weak monitoring, and finance that arrives before the groundwork is done - by aligning rights, evidence, governance and finance so that a programme has a genuine chance of lasting.

Integrity as method

We treat integrity not as a slogan but as a discipline: sourced claims, honest status labels, respect for consent, and a willingness to say what we do not yet know. It is something we practise, not something we assert.

Where we work

Our current focus is the Congo Basin, in partnership with the institutions and communities of the region.
